If you live in proximity to the plant and there is a serious accident, it may be necessary to take the protective actions outlined on this site.
It is unlikely that an emergency at V.C. Summer Nuclear Station will make it necessary for you to leave your home. But family discussions and preplanning could help you through any emergency.
