We are committed to running our business in an environmentally sensitive manner. Complying with ever-increasing governmental regulations, though, comes with a price tag, and it's getting steeper all the time. In the past several years, we've spent more than $700 million on federally mandated environmental and safety initiatives. This includes more than $600 million to install special equipment at three of our power plants to ensure we can meet new federal air quality standards.
