If I have a credit balance while enrolled in Budget Billing, and I do not pay my bill on time, will I still be charged a late payment fee?
SCE&G’s policy is to assess a late payment charge of 1.5% to any balance
that is not paid by the due date. Therefore, while enrolled in the Budget Billing program, late payment charges do apply to the monthly Budget Billing balance, if not paid by the due date, regardless of whether your account is carrying a debit or credit balance.
