If a power outage occurs, SCE&G will work hard to restore power as soon as possible. However, widespread power outages after a major storm can take days, even weeks to repair so we do ask for your patience. We take the following steps to restore power to the community:

We repair damage to substations first.

We clear obstructions (fallen trees, car accidents, etc.) and repair primary lines.

Then we inspect and repair tap and secondary lines in residential neighborhoods.
