SCE&G will work as quickly as possible to restore your power, but if anything from the weatherhead down to your meter base (see the illustration) is damaged by a storm, an electrician must repair it before we can reconnect your power.
SCE&G is responsible for repairs of electric service up to the point of connection at a customer's home. Having any required repairs completed before SCE&G crews arrive at your home can save time in the restoration of power.
