|Heidi Huggins coordinates SCANA's participation in the "Meals On Wheels" program here in Columbia. It is a monumental undertaking although she gives the appearance of it being simple to do. Although many of us who deliver meals for the program, have much we could say, we believe Bridgett Boulware, The Volunteer Coordinator for "Meals On Wheels", states it best:
It takes a very passionate, committed, and dedicated person to be a volunteer coordinator for our program due to all the effort that is required. Heidi is the epitome of just such a person. Not only does she take on the demanding job of not just coordinating the SCANA employees who are assigned to each delivery route, she also ensures substitutions occur when someone is unable to deliver due to conflicts.
I've often seen Heidi personally fill in for someone unable to deliver as well as also come back to our facility and pick up a second route for persons who had conflicts. It is also not unusual for her to do so when I know she is taking personal vacation that day.
On those rare occasions when our central dispatch facility is going to be closed on a day of delivery, Heidi ensures your affected employees are promptly notified in a timely and punctual fashion to coordinate our facility's resulting rearrangement of meal deliveries.
It is my belief that SCANA's participation in assisting our program would not be as successful as it is were it not for Heidi. We would be most fortunate not only to have more companies participate in our program, but to ensure their coordinators are as extraordinary as Heidi.
