Decorating the State House SCE&G helped kick off South Carolina’s official holiday season by lending a hand in decorating the S.C. State House for Christmas.
Electric distribution employees used bucket trucks to hang lights and place decorations on the 29 ½ foot blue spruce tree in front of the Capitol. An SCE&G transmission crew also installed a 10-foot wreath above the State House entrance. The official Governor’s Carolighting was held Sunday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m.

Employees from SCE&G’s northern power delivery group also presented Harvest Hope with a check for $2,115 from donations raised at their annual Thanksgiving luncheon.
Ringing the bells for the Red Kettle campaign SCANA employees volunteered again this year to ring the bells for the annual Salvation Army “Red Kettle” campaign. This year, the SCE&G kettle was located in front of Sam’s Club in the Harbison area.
Employees worked three shifts a day, Nov. 30–Dec. 4 and Dec. 7-11, to raise donations for the annual campaign.
SCE&G helps usher in holiday season at Cayce Parade SCE&G helped usher in the holiday season Dec. 6 by participating in the West Metro Holiday Parade of Lights.
