April 21, 2006, Columbia, S.C., - A small section of the northbound lane on Highway 6 near the Lake Murray Dam spillway will be closed for a brief period on April 23 so that SCE&G can conduct maintenance work on one of the spillway gates. The closure will take place between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. Traffic will be routed around the closed lane. SCE&G urges the public to exercise great caution while driving through the area.
