Cayce, S.C. (Jan. 20, 2012) – SCANA Corp. and its subsidiaries, including SCE&G, paid more than $150 million in property taxes in South Carolina in 2011.
The largest single tax payment was made to Lexington County in the amount of approximately $28.7 million. Other significant payments included:
Aiken County - $8.4 million
Allendale County - $1.2 million
Bamberg County - $1.1 million
Barnwell County - $1.5 million
Beaufort County - $4.1 million
Berkeley County - $6.2 million
Charleston County - $12.3 million
Colleton County - $5.1 million
Dorchester County - $4.2 million
Edgefield County - $1.1 million
Fairfield County - $23 million
Hampton County - $2.1 million
Jasper County - $6.6 million
Orangeburg County - $10.9 million
Richland County - $26.4 million
