Cayce, S.C. (Jan. 17, 2011) – SCANA Corp. and its subsidiaries, including South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, paid more than $142 million in property taxes in South Carolina in 2010.
“These dollars have an important impact in the communities we serve, helping to support vital public services, including schools, police and fire,” said SCANA spokesperson Eric Boomhower.
The largest single tax payment was made to Lexington County in the amount of $26.13 million. Other significant payments included:
