CAYCE, S.C. (March 10, 2011) – The University of South Carolina’s Coach Ray Tanner has teamed up with SCE&G to help fans be more energy wise. SCE&G will host Energy Day at Carolina Stadium Saturday, March 19 to provide customers with energy tips and the opportunity to win a free Home Energy Improvement Kit. The first 500 fans to stop by the SCE&G table after the game will also receive a free CFL light bulb that uses 75 percent less energy and can last up to ten times longer than a standard incandescent light bulb.
“Saving energy is everyone’s game, and Energy Day is a great opportunity to show ways in which customers can be energy wise year round,” said Nakeeah Garland, SCE&G ENERGY STAR® lighting program manager.
In addition to Energy Day, videos featuring Coach Tanner and the SCE&G Energy Team will air on the stadium scoreboard during each home game. To learn more about saving money and energy efficiency, visit www.sceg.com/energywise.
