Planning to purchase some energy upgrades for your home? The SCE&G Value Visit Program may be the place to start!
The Value Visit Program is designed to assist customers who are considering an investment in upgrading their home's thermal energy efficiency. This brief review can help guide you in your purchase of a new heating and cooling system, attic insulation, storm windows or any energy upgrade you may be considering. There is a $25.00 fee that will be added to your SCE&G bill after your Value Visit.
If your home was built prior to 1980, you are eligible to request a value visit. A visit may be particularly helpful if:
- You are renovating your home.
- You are thinking about a major purchase such as a new heating or air-conditioning system or upgrading your insulation levels.
SCE&G electric customers may qualify for rebates if you upgrade one of the following items:
- R0 to R30 attic insulation ($6.00 per 100 square feet)
- R11 to R30 attic insulation ($3.00 per 100 square feet)
- Storm windows ($30.00 per house)
- Duct insulation ($60.00 per house)
- Wall Insulation ($80.00 per house)
