Signing up for electric and/or gas service with SCE&G is easy.

First, have the following information ready:

• Complete address including apartment number, if applicable, city and ZIP code
• Mailing address (if different)
• Landlord's name (if renting)
• Home phone number
• Social Security number (for residential service) or tax ID (for small business)
• Driver’s license number and expiration date
• Spouse's name and Social Security number
• Contact person and phone number
• Proof of ID (required in some cases)

Then all you need to do is call toll-free 1-800-251-7234 or visit one of our convenient Customer Service offices. An interpreter is available if needed. We’ll let you know if anything else is needed and what to expect. A deposit may be required.
