Just like it sounds, this option lets customers sell all of their generated energy, while purchasing all of their needed electricity directly from SCE&G. On this plan, customers may purchase energy under a residential or small commercial rate of their choice, while selling energy back on Rate PR-1.
All customer generated energy is sold; all customer used energy is bought.
Rate PR-1 rewards customers who generate during on-peak, high demand periods by paying a higher rate for electricity. Energy generated during times of low demand is sold at a lower rate.
Additionally, customers using forms of renewable generation may be eligible to receive credits from Palmetto Clean Energy (PaCE), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the development of renewable energy resources in our state.
