CAYCE, S.C. (Oct. 19, 2018) – SCE&G is encouraging all seasonal gas customers to reconnect their natural gas service ahead of the scheduling rush that typically coincides with the first sign of cooler temperatures across South Carolina.
“As temperatures begin to fall, now is the perfect time to go online or call to schedule an appointment,” said SCE&G Vice President of Gas Operations Felicia Howard. “Customers who reconnect now will be one step ahead of the weather and ready to warm their homes when that first winter morning arrives unexpectedly.”
By reconnecting service now, customers’ homes will be heat-ready before cold temperatures arrive. Customers can schedule a service reconnection appointment in the following ways:
- Go online at sceg.com/for-my-home/start-my-service
- Call customer service at 800-251-7234, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Seasonal customers may also prefer to keep their natural gas service active year-round to avoid the need for a service appointment during what can be a very busy time of year.
“As families gear up for a busy fall, keeping your natural gas service active will result in one less thing on the to-do list when temperatures start to change,” Howard added. “We want our customers to enjoy all the benefits of natural gas, especially the comfort and convenience it provides.”
