The Interruptible Service Program is available to industrial customers on Rate Schedules 23 or 24, that can contract for 1,000 KW of interruptive demand or greater during the months of June through September. Participating customers receive a discount on their demand charges for shedding load when SCE&G is short of capacity. This program has limited capacity available, so contact your account manager if you would like to discuss this option in more detail.

Real Time Pricing (RTP) is a pricing option that assists energy users in reducing energy costs while allowing energy providers to improve system efficiency. Utilities estimate the cost of generating and transmitting electricity to the customer, develop hourly rates that vary with forecasted system usage, and communicate these prices to the customer who can now manage energy consumption in response to changes in price. Customers who can alter operations in order to shift electric consumption from on-peak to off-peak periods may consider RTP as an option.

Customers who are enrolled in the RTP Program can easily view daily prices through the following link. Next day prices will be posted on weekdays at 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

We recognize that voltage sags and outages can be costly and want to assist you with investigating and making recommendations to help prevent these types of power issues.
