Dominion Energy is making it easy for you to reduce your energy usage and save money when you recycle your old, secondary refrigerator or freezer. Pickup is FREE and includes $50 cash-back. In addition, you can save up to $110 annually on your electric bill.

It's a win-win for Dominion Energy customers and the environment. As a partner with the EPA's Responsible Appliance Disposal Program (RAD), we're committed to recycling your refrigerator or freezer in an environmentally friendly manner.

  • Appliances must be full-sized and in working condition at the time of pickup (the compressor should still be humming and the unit should still be cooling) because we seek to remove old, inefficient appliances from the grid.
  • Limit of two rebates (total value of $100) per customer address per year.
  • Pickup is available both inside and outside of the home (i.e., garage, on porch, or driveway) and is based on customer preference.
  • Participation is limited to residential electric customers.

Schedule your appointment online or call 877-510-7234 to speak with a customer service representative. You'll need to give the name on your account, your electric account number, address and appliance information. Then you'll schedule a convenient date and time for pickup. An adult, age 18 or older, must be present during pickup. Your rebate should arrive within 4-6 weeks.

Participation is limited to Dominion Energy South Carolina residential electric customers.

You will receive your rebate check within 4 to 6 weeks after pickup.

The appliance must be in working condition at the time of pickup because our goal with the program is to help remove older, energy-inefficient models from the power grid. The unit must also be clean to help ensure there are no insects or rodents present.
